Those traveling by Hemkund Sahib ji stop at a place called Govindghat, 28 kilometers before the arrival of Badrinath Dham. You can travel by road from the Rishikesh to 270 kilometers, after which the journey of 20 kms of Hemkund Sahib from Govindghat is done on foot.

Govindghat is situated on the banks of the Alaknanda river. Wherever there is proper arrangement of food and lodging for the passengers. Travelers from Govindghat have to travel 11 kilometers on foot.

 After traveling 10 kilometers of Govindghat, Ghangria reaches the village. One way goes from here to Hemkund Sahib and the other way is to roam the famous inaccessible pilgrimage place.
